The Orange Wine Festival is the region’s opportunity to celebrate the thriving wine industry and high-quality cool climate wines that are produced in the region. The program with over 90 events including some much loved favourites such as the Orange Wine Show Tasting, Wine in the Vines, The Vino Express and the Festival Night Market will be back on the menu in 2017, along with a fantastic range of events run by our producers and restaurateurs.

Orange Wine Show Tasting & Masterclass

All the wines from the Orange Wine Show, including the trophy and medal winning wines, will be on show for you to taste and judge. In between tasting, graze from generous platters of delicious local produce.

The masterclasses are hosted by Will Rickard-Bell a local winemaker.  This Masterclass will introduce you to the colour, aroma, taste and regional characteristics of Orange wines, why the Orange Region is so specia

During the festival all things wine can be found at Wine Central located at Union Bank, from tastings to winemaker discussions. Wine Central should be the first port of call for those looking to investigate and explore all things vinous in the region of Orange


Wine & Food Night Market

A wonderful family affair not to be missed. With over 60 stalls offering award winning wines from the Orange Wine Region. All paired with the finest cuisine prepared by our clever chefs and cooks, with a focus on the provenance of our local produce. Set in stunning Robertson Park, relax to the sound of local music with family and friends at long communal tables. Children’s catering and activities on site.



All aboard The Vino Express

Jump on board the The Vino Express to be part of the festival’s latest signature event. This is an exclusive and all-inclusive packaged weekend of premium wine and food experiences in Orange, including a ticket to the popular ‘Wine in the Vines’ festival event. Also includes 2 nights accommodation, sparkling Vino Express breakfast, behind-the-scenes wine tastings at cellar doors, local fine-dining experiences, a Bonfire BBQ and more


Wine in the Vines

Meet the maker! Explore the wines of Orange without need for a Plan B. We’ll be your designated driver as you are introduced to local vignerons and given an exclusive insight into how some of Orange’s best coolclimate grapes go from vine to wine. Start with a light brunch, then board the bus and enjoy a roving lunch with matching wines throughout the region on this all-inclusive day trip! Ticket includes brunch, lunch, wine tastings, transfers and a bottle of the region’s best to takeaway.

Ed Swift from Printhie Wines

Printhie Wines was the inspiration of Jim and Ruth Swift, who planted 12 hectares of grapevines in 1996. These days, sons Ed and Dave Swift manage the day-to-day business operations under the watchful eyes of Jim and Ruth who have now taken up the role of Special Project Managers. A role that involves lots of travel, lots of dining out and lots of benchmarking.

Terry Dolle from Orange Mountain Wines

Terry’s philosophy to winemaking is pretty simple. He believes that you need to be happy with what you are doing in life “I enjoy creating things, I enjoy making wines and I like a challenge. You can always improve with wine, you can always make something better and you are always learning.”
