TASTE ORANGE @ BARANGAROO
Join us for our brand new outdoor wine and food festival, where we bring all the best from the countryside direct to spectacular new harbourside headland. Thanks to our partners at Orange City Council, we will be presenting Taste Orange @ Barangaroo for the very first time on Sunday 20 November, from 11am to 5pm at Nawi Cove, Barangaroo Reserve – with 23 wine, food and tourism stalls and live entertainment throughout the day.
Come along to Nawi Cove at Barangaroo Reserve and taste wine and food from Orange region’s finest wineries and producers, cultivated from the cool climate and high altitude landscape that this scenic region boasts. These hand-picked offerings will show you why some of Australia’s best produce comes from the Central New South Wales region.

We are very proud to have local Indigenous companies Dreamtime Tuka and Indigenous Cultural Adventures Bush Tucka join us as the cultural food ambassadors of our region. Visitors to Taste Orange @ Barangaroo will have the opportunity to explore gourmet food prepared with native Australian ingredients, such as Lemon Myrtle & Coconut Slice and Bush Plum Crumble Slice as well as bush tucker biscuits from DreamTime Tuka, and kangaroo sliders and pies from Indigenous Cultural Adventures Bush Tucka.
Dreamtime Tuka now supplies its distinctly Australian-flavoured biscuits and slices on all Qantas domestic flights, and local Wiradjuri man Herb Smith is passionate about sharing his wealth of knowledge of the nutritional and gourmet value of Indigenous food, so make sure you stop by and have a yarn. Indigenous Cultural Adventures and Bush Tucka will be launching cultural and native ingredient foraging tours in the Orange region next February, in time for the Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival which will run from 16-26 February 2017.
For a thirst-quenching taste sensation, there’s sure to be a queue at the Milla Cordial stall, featuring Australian bush ingredient flavoured and all-natural cordials and sparkling tonics. Local food stallholders The Molong Farm will be serving pulled pork and apple slaw sliders, as well as homemade fennel & apple sausage rolls – a truly farm to fork experience, with the pork coming straight from the farm. Over at the 1803 Australian Deer stall you can witness their commitment to a nose-to-tail philosophy, with beautiful leather and hand-forged blades made from deer products from the Orange region’s Mandagery Creek Venison Farm.
The Visit Orange team will be present to provide tourism information on the Orange region. Augmenting the local stallholder experience will be Sydney foodies – El-Phoenician, Jimmy Liks, Oysters Unplugged, Serendipity Icecream, and Sofrito Paella – who will all be using produce and ingredients sourced from the Orange region.
All in all making Taste Orange @ Barangaroo a fantastic Sunday afternoon wine and food adventure by the harbour!

Printhie Wines was the inspiration of Jim and Ruth Swift, who planted 12 hectares of grapevines in 1996. These days, sons Ed and Dave Swift manage the day-to-day business operations under the watchful eyes of Jim and Ruth who have now taken up the role of Special Project Managers. A role that involves lots of travel, lots of dining out and lots of benchmarking.read more
